Battle rifle

A battle rifle is a select fire rifle that fires a powerful bullet such as 7.62×51mm NATO or 7.62×54mmR. The FN FAL, G3, and M14 are the most common battle rifles used in the Cold War. They are more powerful than assault rifles. Assault rifles shoots a 5.56×45mm NATO which is less powerful than a 7.62×51mm NATO or another intermediate.
