Beaverton is a city in Washington County, Oregon, U.S.A. It is seven miles west of Portland, Oregon. The name of Beaverton came from the native settlers, meaning "place of the beaver".
The Beaverton population, according to the census of 2020, was 97,494 people. Beaverton is 19.6 square miles. Beaverton is called a part of "Silicon Forest", because many technology companies are located in Beaverton. For example, Linux Technology, IBM, and Tektronix. Nike's headquarters are located there.
