"Belfast Child" is a 1989 song by Scottish band Simple Minds and is the leading single from their eighth studio album Street Fighting Years. It went to number 1 in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Ireland and also went to the top ten in New Zealand, Belgium, Greece, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Italy and Spain.
