Bengt Ohlson

Bengt Ohlson, born 10 March 1943, is a Swedish former ice hockey player and manager.[1] He acted as the head coach for the Swedish national team during the 1980-1981 season. During that season Sweden won the silver medal during the 1981 IIHF World Championship. Otherwise that season had been less successful for the Swedes.[2] He resigned after being threatened to death.[3]

When Sweden won the silver medal he became popular known as "Silverfisken" by the Swedes. He had been called "Torsken" after the Swedish fiasco during the 1980 Izvestia Tournament.[4]
