Betsy Jochum
Betsy Jochum "Sockum" (February 8, 1921 – May 31, 2025) was an American baseball player. She played as an outfielder and pitcher. She played from 1943 to 1948 in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. She was listed at 5 ft 7 in (1.70 m), 140 pounds (64 kg). She batted and threw right-handed.[1] Jochum played for the South Bend Blue Sox during her whole career.

Jochum was born in Cincinnati, Ohio.[2][3] She was raised in South Bend, Indiana.
Jochum turned 100 years old in February 2021. She died in South Bend on May 31, 2025, at the age of 104.[4][5]
