On March 28, 2024, the series was removed from Paramount+ as part of a "strategic decision to focus on content with mass global appeal". Production on the series ended on July 25, 2024. However, most episodes of the show are still available to purchase on digital platforms. On August 26, 2024, all the unreleased episodes were put on Apple TV and Amazon Prime. The series has lot of differences between the accuracy and the appearance of the books and the series, with one notable example being the dog Spitsy, who is usually in the books half French Poodle, while in the series, half Borzoi/half Corgi/half Saluki/half Border Collie and half Afghan Hound.
