The song was able to make it to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, #3 on the Adult Contemporary, and #35 on the Hot Soul Singles charts.[1][2] [3] It was also certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).[4]
The song is about a man who is obsessed with a woman and is willing to give her anything she wants. It is about love and commitment in a relationship.
