Bill Bunten

William Wallace Bunten (April 5, 1930 – February 29, 2020) was an American politician. He was mayor of Topeka, Kansas from 2005 to 2013. Before being elected mayor, he was in the Kansas House of Representatives from 1962 to 1990 and in the Kansas Senate from 2002 to 2004. Bunten was a member of the Republican Party.

Bunten died of pneumonia-related problems on February 29, 2020 in Topeka, Kansas at the age of 89.[1]
