Brendan Halligan

Brendan Halligan (5 July 1936 – 9 August 2020) was an Irish economist and politician.[1] He was founder and president of the Institute of International and European Affairs (IIEA). He was president of the Ireland China Institute.[2]

He was also a Board Member of Mainstream Renewable Power. He was General Secretary of the Labour Party, a Teachta Dála (TD), a Senator, and a Member of the European Parliament (MEP). He was born in Dublin.

He died on 9 August 2020, aged 84.[3]
