Bright Comprehensive Secondary School
Bright Comprehensive Secondary School shortened as BRICOSS is a mixed secondary school found in Maddu - Gomba, Uganda. It offers an Ordinary and Advanced level and also the Vocation programs based on the Ugandan Education System of Education. The school has both day and boarding sections. According to "The Bukedde – New Vision news of Friday, 18 202, in the article ‘Wakikola Otya’ was founded by Mr. Nsamba Peter. In an exclusive interview, he admitted having been a qualified herbalist, and a God’s message spreader with a dream to see people get basic both education and mainly know what God wants of them in order to survive in this competitive world. The school is based on a Seventh Day Adventist foundation. Mr. Nsamba Peter founded the school in 2013 and it is non-government based. At the time, there was no other Seventh Day Adventist secondary school in Gomba District. One major reason was for people, most the youth, get to know what God wants of them in order to survive in this late generation, and also to find a connecting route for primary school leavers to have continuity in their search for knowledge. He was therefore able to bring services closer to the people with a purpose of building the nation. To date, the school motto is We Trust In God. What was interesting about its progress was the support of the parents. The school started with only two (2) students the first year as compared to today when they are a total of the school’s population of 1,000 Students and a teaching staff of 56. The School is fully registered with the O-Level and A-Level and also the Directorate of Industrial Training (D.I.T) center numbers. The school offers vocational training courses including; hair dressing, tailoring, sweater knitting, chicken rearing, herbal training, I.C.T course. Since it is based on a Seventh Day Adventist foundation, the school takes on all courses of Pathfinder up to the Master guide level. The school celebrated its TEN (10) year anniversary on 19th November 2023.
Today, the School has capable stewardship of Pr. Lukyamuzi Dionisius as Chairman of the Board of Governors as well as a very capable administrators and support staff. Bright Comprehensive Secondary School is the fastest growing school in Gomba District and everyone boasts of that. Come let us strive for greater heights because WE TRUST IN GOD.
