Trichoptera
(Redirected from Caddisflies)
The Trichoptera is an order of insects, also known as caddisflies, sedge-flies, or rail flies. They are usually identified by the setae (hairs) that cover their entire bodies, including their wings. The larvae of many caddisflies species use silk to make protective cases of gravel, sand, twigs or other debris which can be found in clean rivers and streams.
