Canning Town
Canning Town is a district in the West Ham area of the London Borough of Newham in East London, England. It is in the area of the former Royal Docks on the north side of the River Thames. Rathbone Market is in Canning Town. Although it is near many affluent London Docklands developments, Canning Town remains among the 5 per cent most deprived areas in the United Kingdom. Many long-term residents suffer from poor health, low education and poverty. Canning Town station is on the Jubilee line providing connections to other areas.
