Examples of some capacitors

Capacitance is the ability of a body to store electric charge. A common device to do such task is a capacitor. The SI unit for capacitance is farad, which is equal to coulombs per volt.

Above is the equation for capacitance, where Q is the charge being held by the object in coulombs, and V is the voltage across that object.
