Capital Airlines Flight 20
A Capital Airlines Vickers Viscount similar to the one which crashed.
Capital Airlines Flight 20 was a U.S. airplane flight from Washington, D.C. to Norfolk, Virginia on January 18, 1960. The airplane that was flying was a Vickers Viscount.[1]
Accident
The airplane had 4 engines. It was very cold. The outside of the airplane started to freeze. Two of the engines stopped, then later the other two engines stopped working. When the plane crashed everyone died.[2]
The next year, 1961, Capital airlines merged with United Airlines.
