Caramel apples are apples covered in caramel. They are sometimes given to children on Halloween. They are somewhat like candy. They are also sometimes called taffy apples. Some caramel apples have nuts and other treats stuck to them, to improve the flavor. Taffy apples usually refers to this type of caramel apple.
