Arrhythmia[1] (commonly called irregular heartbeat or heart palpitations)[2] is the name for a number of conditions related to the heartbeat. An arrythmia is when the heartbeat is not normal. It might be too fast (tachycardia) or too slow (bradycardia), or the heart might not beat normally.
An artificial pacemaker is used to fix an arrhythmia.
Symptoms
Arrhythmia sometimes does not have any symptoms (signs of a problem).[3] Some people do have symptoms. Some people feel like their heart is 'skipping a beat'[3] (when the heart misses a beat).[3]
