Carlos A. Ruiz

Carlos A. Ruiz (born April 1975) is a United States Marine Corps sergeant major who has served as the 20th sergeant major of the Marine Corps (the highest ranked non-officer) since August 10, 2023.[1] He most recently served as the Command Senior enlisted Leader of the United States Marine Corps Reserve and United States Marine Corps Forces, South.[2][3][4]

In December 2022, Ruiz was selected for assignment as command senior enlisted of the United States Space Command, before he was instead selected to be the sergeant major of the Marine Corps.[5]
