Conchita Wurst
Thomas "Tom" Neuwirth (born 6 November 1988) is an Austrian singer and drag queen whose stage name is Conchita Wurst. He is best known for winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2014.

Career
Tom Neuwirth began his singing career in 2006 when he took part in Starmania, an Austrian singing show. A year later, he was a member of Jetz Anders!, an Austrian band. The group separated the same year.
In 2011, he first appeared as Conchita Wurst while being a contestant on the Austrian music competition The Big Chance. In 2012, Wurst tried to enter the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 as Austria's contestant but did not succeed. He then began appearing on Austrian reality television series as a celebrity contestant.
In 2014, it was announced that Conchita Wurst would represent Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 with the song "Rise Like a Pheonix". She won the contest. Some Eastern European countries (including Russia) spoke out against Wurst's participation.
Conchita Wurst's victory was celebrated by many Eurovision fans who were members of the LGBT community. Wurst has attended many Pride events. In 2019, she was a judge on the German reality series Queens of Drag. She also made a cameo appearance in the film Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga.
Personal life
He was born in Upper Austria and raised in Styria. Neuwirth is gay.[1]
He represented Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014, singing her song Rise Like a Phoenix in Copenhagen, Denmark. He won the contest.[2]
