Cuban Independence Movement
The Cuba independence movement started back in 19th century. It is when the Creole Cuban people were bring mistreated by the royal government of Spain in the island. In 1867, Cuban musical composer Perucho Figueredo came up with what ended up being the National anthem of Cuba: "La Bayamesa". he and plantation owner Carlos Manuel de Cespedes led up an armed revolution. It lasted more than 30 years and took over the Spanish rule in the island. When the Spanish government was forced to give up on Cuba the United States started an occupation for nearly 4 years that helped the island recover from the 30 year war.
