Career highlights and awards

In 2014, he made a game winning buzzer beater in game 6 against the Houston Rockets, giving the Blazers a 4-2 series victory. It was the first time the Blazers had won a playoff series in 14 years. 5 years later, he hit a 37-foot buzzer beater to beat the Thunder in Game 5, winning the series as well. These shots, as well as his celebration after hitting the second, led to him being given the nickname "Dame Time".

He has been selected twice for the NBA All-Star Game. In 2014, he became the first player ever to compete in all 5 All-Star Weekend events. He competed in the 3-Point Contest, Slam Dunk Contest, Skills Challenge, Rising Stars Challenge, and the All-Star Game.

On September 27, 2023, Lillard was involved in a three-team trade which sent Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks, Jrue Holiday, Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara and a 2029 first-round draft pick to the Blazers, and Grayson Allen, Jusuf Nurkić, Nassir Little, and Keon Johnson to the Phoenix Suns.[2] In 2025, he was released by the Bucks after they signed Myles Turner.
