Dan Waern
Dan Waern (born 17 January 1933 in Sköldinge, Sweden) is a Swedish former middle-distance runner. In 1957, he became the first Swede to run the first sub-four-minute mile.[1] 1957 was also the year he was awarded the Svenska Dagbladet Gold Medal.[2]

In 1961, the IAAF disqualified him for professionalism.[3]
