Danny Frawley

Daniel Patrick Frawley (8 September 1963 – 9 September 2019) was an Australian rules footballer and football commentator. He worked for Fox Sports. He coached the Richmond Football Club between 2000 and 2004.

Career highlights

He was the nephew of Collingwood player Des Tuddenham and the uncle of current Hawthorn Football Club player James Frawley. Frawley worked for the St Kilda Football Club as a specialist defence coach on a part-time basis.[1]

Frawley was born in Ballarat, Victoria.

On 9 September 2019, Frawley was killed in a car crash near Millbrook, Victoria.[2][3] He was 56 years old.[4] His death was ruled as a suicide by the coroner.[5] After his death, an autopsy revealed that Frawley had been suffering from Stage 2 chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).[6]
