David Legwand
David A. Legwand (born August 17, 1980) is a American former professional ice hockey center. He played for the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League (NHL). He has also played for the Nashville Predators and the Detroit Red Wings.

Career
Before playing in the NHL, Legwand played 2 seasons with the Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Legwand won the Red Tilson Award for being the most outstanding player in the league.
He was drafted 2nd overall by the Nashville Predators in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. After playing 15-years with the Predators, he was traded to the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for Patrick Eaves, Calle Järnkrok, and a conditional 2014 draft pick.[1] Legwand played 21 regular season games with Detroit.
On July 4, 2014, he signed a two-year, $6 million contract with the Ottawa Senators.[2]
