David di Donatello
The David di Donatello Award is a film award. It is presented each year by L'accademia del Cinema Italiano (ACI). There are 24 categories as of 2006.

Trophy
The trophy is a gold David statuette like Donatello's famous sculpture. It is on a square malachite base. A gold plaque shows the award category, year and winner.
The 1956 David awarded to Gina Lollobrigida for Beautiful but Dangerous was auctioned at Sothebys in 2013.[1]
