Dick Allen
Richard Anthony Allen (March 8, 1942 – December 7, 2020) was an American professional baseball player. During his 15-season Major League Baseball (MLB) career, he appeared as a first baseman, third baseman, and outfielder. He played for the Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers, Oakland Athletics and Chicago White Sox. Allen was born in Wampum, Pennsylvania.
Candidacy
He was going to get into the hall of fame, but he died before he could make it. So sad.
Death
Allen died on December 7, 2020 in Wampum from cancer at the age of 78.[1]
