Dineshwar Sharma

Dineshwar Sharma (23 March 1954 – 4 December 2020) was an Indian politician. He was an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer.[1] He was the chief of the Indian Intelligence Bureau,[2] that is the Director of Intelligence Bureau which is the highest-ranked post in the Indian Police Service (IPS).[3]

He also was an interlocutor to the government of India for the state of Jammu and Kashmir.[4] In November 2019, he became the 34th Administrator of Lakshadweep.[5]

Sharma died of lung disease on 4 December 2020 at the age of 66.[6]
