Dinosaur King

Dinosaur King is a 2005 arcade video game produced by Sega. It had a two volume manga, a two season anime that aired from 2007-2008, a second video game on the Nintendo DS, and another Anime that ran in 2008.

While on a paleontological mission in Africa, Dr. Spike Taylor, hid son Max, and his friend Rex discover stone slabs and figure out that dinosaurs are calling them for help. The “Alpha Gang”, and evil organization led by Dr. Z, traveled back to the Mesozoic and hunted down dinosaurs on Oder to take over the world. Now it is up to Max and Rex to defeat Dr. Z and save the dinosaurs.

Anime

In season one, the D-Team consisting of Max Taylor, Rex Owen, and Zoe Drake, control dinosaurs (Max taking a Triceratops named Chomp, Rex sporting a Carnotaurus named Ace, and Zoe handling a Parasaurolophus named Paris) in order to stop the Alpha Gang. They are a group of evil assailants from 2126 AD led by Dr. Z. Dr. Z seeks to create his own dinosaur kingdom and rule the world. To do this they use stone tablets to summon dinosaurs using cards. The other notable members of the Alpha Gang are: Ursula, who controls a Tyrannosaurus called Terry and is often described as an old lady, Zander, who uses a Spinosaurus called Spiny and his in love with Zoe’s older sister, Reese, and Ed, who fights with a Saichania named Tank

In season two, after teaming up with the Aloha Gang to defeat Seth’s genetically modified Black T. rex, the D-Team must travel back in time to stop a group of space pirates from collecting all seven Cosmos Stones and rescue their parents too. Along the way they discover how to make dinosaur armor to fight the enhanced dinosaurs of the space pirates. The space pirates have five total members: Spectre , the leader, Gabbro, the clueless muscle, Shear, the gothic smart one, Foolscap, the witty one, and Seth, the brains of the whole operation.
