A diploma is a certificate that is received from a school when the student has studied or completed the subject with good results.[1] For many jobs a diploma is needed, because it proves that the person is good at the subject that was studied. A diploma is usually a basic degree that is lower than a bachelor's degree. In the past, it has also referred to a charter or official document of diplomacy.[2][3]
