Dmitri Aleksandrovich Hvorostovsky PAR (Дми́трий Алекса́ндрович Хворосто́вский, 16 October 1962 – 22 November 2017) was a Russian operatic baritone.[1] He was born in Krasnoyarsk, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. He was known for performing in The Queen of Spades. He was awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky in 2015 and the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" in 2017.

Hvorostovsky died in London of brain cancer on 22 November 2017 at the age of 55.[2]
