E. Ruth Anderson

Elsie Ruth Anderson (born: 23 Jun 1907 in Newport, Rhode Island; died: 24 November 1989 in Boston, Massachusetts) was an American meteorologist and book writer. Anderson studied at the New England Conservatory of Music from 1924 to 1931, 1934, and 1940 to 1941. She got a diploma from the New England Conservatory in "Orchestral Course in Violin" in June 1931.[1]

In World War II, she joined the WAVES. She studied at the Navy Aerographers School.[2] She then worked for the American Meteorological Society for 20 years.
