Eemsdelta
Eemsdelta, Low Saxon: Emsdelta, is a municipality in the province of Groningen, the Netherlands. It lies in the northeast of Groningen.

About 46,000 people live in Eemsdelta. It covers an area of about 364 square kilometres (141 square miles).
The main settlements are Delfzijl and Appingedam.
Eemsdelta was established on January 1, 2021. It was made by combining the former municipalities of Appingedam, Delfzijl, and Loppersum.
The municipality borders the Ems river in the northeast, and the Dollart bay in the east. On the other side of the Ems and the Dollart lies East Frisia, which is a region in the German state of Lower Saxony.
The Eemskanaal flows through the municipality, and connects the Ems river with the city of Groningen.
Eemsdelta contains the fifth most important seaport of the Netherlands, in the city of Delfzijl.
