Elina Bystritskaya
Elina Avraamovna Bystritskaya (Russian: Элина Авраамовна Быстрицкая; 4 April 1928 – 26 April 2019) was a Soviet and Russian actress. She is known for her role of Aksinya in movie version of Mikhail Sholokhov's novel And Quiet Flows the Don (1958), directed by Sergei Gerasimov. She also starred in Unfinished Story (1955), Volunteers (1958) and All Remains to People (1963). She was named People's Artist of the USSR in 1978. She was awarded the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland" in 2008. She was born in Kyiv, Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, to a Jewish family.
Bystritskaya died in Moscow on 26 April 2019, at the age of 91.[1]
