Eric Geboers
Eric Geboers (5 August 1962 – 6 May 2018) was a Belgian professional motocross racer and racing driver. He was nicknamed The Kid, he was the first person to win world championships in the 125cc, 250cc, and 500cc divisions.[1] He retired from the international competition after his victory in Namur, on August 5, 1990.

On 6 May 2018 during a boating trip, Geboers went missing after diving into a lake near Mol, Belgium, to save his drowning dog. His body was found by rescue services on 7 May 2018.[2][3]
