Fatty liver disease (FLD), also known as hepatic steatosis, is a condition where a lot of fat builds up in the liver. Sometimes, there are no or few symptoms. There can be pain in the upper right side of the abdomen. The disease can cause cirrhosis, liver cancer, and esophageal cuts.[1]
