Description
English: "Lunar basalt layering exposed at inner walls of (a) Dawes and (b) Bessel craters with visible thin layering (2-5 m, Robinson et al., 2012). (c) Apollo 15 surface image of the interior wall of Hadley Rille (AS15–89–12106HR). Inset highlights layered deposits presumed to be basaltic lava flows with possible intercalated regolith deposits. The outcrop is approximately 8 m thick. (Rumpf, 2020) (d) Mare Tranquillitatis Pit (M17507326R) with visible thin layering (2-13 m, Robinson et al., 2012). (e) Mare Tranquilitatis Pit (M144395745L).
