Summary

Description Statère en or des Cénomans ou Aulerques-Cénomans (région du Mans, France). Avers : Tête à droite, les cheveux coiffés en mèches tirées en arrière tombant sur le cou. Revers : Cheval androcéphale galopant à droite, conduit par un aurige tenant devant lui un étendard (?), derrière, une de roue, sous le cheval, personnage couché à droite, tenant deux objets ovoïdes. Diamètre 21 mm, poids 7,21 g. L'avers présente un défaut de frappe (tréflage). Ce statère est semblable à ceux (les plus nombreux, 118 ex.) de la découverte du dépôt des Sablons (Le Mans) (cf: Trésors monétaires XXIV, BnF, 2011)
