Das Apfelblüten-Ei wurde 1901 vom russischen Juwelier Carl Fabergé (1846-1920) gefertigt. Der Großindustrielle Alexander Ferdinandowitsch Kelch schenkte es seiner Gattin Barbara Kelch. Fabergés bester Meister, Michael Jewlampijewitch Perchin (1860-1903), schuf das Apfelblüten-Ei, das als einziges Fabergé-Ei als fernöstliches Thema aufnimmt, die Apfelblüte. Es wurde dem Landesmuseum von Adulf Peter Goop (1921-2011) geschenkt.
