Deutsch: Beschreibung des Banners:"Gelb-blau im Verhältnis 1 : 1, längsgestreift mit dem Stadtwappen im oberen Drittel." Der Stadt Mechernich ist mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten in Köln vom 9.02.1973 die Genehmigung zur Führung eines Wappens, eines Siegels, und einer Flagge erteilt worden.
