DescriptionBethnal Green railway stn Great Eastern look east.JPG
English: Bethnal Green railway station looking east along the Great Eastern Main Line running just to the south. The remains of the former down (to Shenfield) platform can be seen in the foreground (it formed an island with the present up (to London) platform), but the Great Eastern up (to London) was demolished and the two remaining tracks re-arranged (also the fast tracks were swapped with the slow). The Great Eastern platforms closed in the 1940s.
