Scherl Bilderdienst Eine einzigartige Leistung vollbrachten unsere Truppen bei der Besetzung der Insel Kreta. Am Morgen des 20. Mai landeten die ersten Fallschirmjäger und im Laufe der nächsten Tage wurden immer weitere und größere Verbände Fallschirmjäger und Luftlandetruppen nachgezogen. Der Kampf um die schwer befestigten britischen Gebirgsstellungen erforderte bei unseren Gebirgstruppen, die mit Transportmaschinen nach Kreta befördert wurden, den höchsten Einsatz. - Unser Bild zeigt Gebirgsjäger kurz vor ihrem Start nach Kreta. |
