Object history
Deutsch: Die Legende besagt, dass Beatus als Glaubensbote aus Irland an den Thunersee zog. Hier vertrieb er einen schrecklichen Drachen aus den Höhlen ob Sundlauenen. Er erwarb das Vertrauen der Einheimischen, indem er sich der Armen und Kranken annahm. Seine Wohnstätte in der früheren Drachenhöhle wurde zu einem Pilgerort.
