Italiano: Il Comune, quale Capoluogo del Distretto, ha adottato l'arma della Valle. La troviamo su un antico sigillodel 1612 o di data anteriore e dipinta sulla facciata dell'antico Pre-torio di Cevio (Palazzo del Podestà), sec. XVII. Il medesimo stemma è riportato su un sigillo della fine del secolo scorso con il testo «SIGILLUM COMUNITATIS VALLIS MADIAE». Una variante figura sugli stampati della «PRO VALLE MAGGIA» e sulle marche da bollo del Comune. Per il Comune vennero aggiunti 3 gigli d'oro in punta che ricordano la più antica famiglia del paese, i Franzoni, il cui nome è legato all'origine ed alla storia del Comune. Lo stemma di questa famiglia (che porta appunto 3 gigli) si ritrova un po' dovunque nelle case del paese, nella chiesa della Rovana e sul. |
