English: Camp Curtin, a major Union Army training camp, was located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania during the American Civil War, and was depicted in this "Harper's Weekly" illustration in September 1862. More than 300,000 regular and volunteer soldiers passed through this camp between its opening on April 18, 1861 and its closure in November 1865. |
