Deutsch: Die Gemeinde Altertheim besteht seit 1978 aus den ehemals selbstständigen Gemeinden Oberaltertheim, Steinbach b. Würzburg und Unteraltertheim und trägt seit dieser Zeit den Namen Altertheim. Sie hat das in diesem Zusammenhang untergegangene Wappen von Oberaltertheim unverändert angenommen. Die Rosen sind dem Wappen der Grafen von Wertheim entnommen. Bis zu ihrem Aussterben 1556 gehörte das Gemeindegebiet zu deren Herrschaftsbereich. Besitznachfolger waren die Grafen von Castell. Darauf weist die Vierung von Rot und Silber. |
