Jahrhundert nachweisbare Stammwappen der Herren von Fraunhofen, den Inhabern der seit 1409 in Alt- und Neufraunhofen aufgeteilten Reichsherrschaften. Der Reichsadler im unteren Feld bezieht sich auf den Status der Reichsunmittelbarkeit, der jedoch bis zur Auflösung des Alten Reichs zu Beginn des 19. Jahrhunderts vom Kurfürstentum Bayern nicht anerkannt wurde. |
