| Object history |
Deutsch: Aubstadt ist erstmals 1132 urkundlich erwähnt. Der Biber ist dem Wappen der Freiherren von Bibra entnommen, den einstigen Ortsherren von Aubstadt, die seit 1317 im Ort belegt sind. Sie waren mit der Schützenmühle (der unteren Mühle) im Gemeindegebiet bis zum Ende des Alten Reichs belehnt. Der Torturm gilt als das bauliche Wahrzeichen des Ortes. Die Farben Silber und Rot weisen auf die ehemalige Territorialherrschaft des Hochstifts Würzburg hin. |
