Deutsch: Die Gemeinde stützte sich bei der Festlegung des Wappens im Jahre 1947 auf Nachforschungen des früheren Ortspfarrers Hermann, wonach der Ortsadel der Herren von Bertnang ursprünglich dieses Wappen mit dem offenen Flug geführt haben soll. Die Verleihung des Gemeindewappens erfolgte am 27. Januar 1948 durch die Landesregierung, während die Flagge am 30. Juni 1959 vom Innenministerium verliehen worden ist. |
