Deutsch: Das Mühlrad im Wappen weist auf die Nutzung der Wasserkraft durch Mühlen hin. Erstmals wird 1382 eine Mühle erwähnt. Bis zu fünf Mühlen zwei Mahlmühlen, zwei Ölmühlen sowie eine Lohmühle waren im Betrieb. Das gekerbte Doppelkreuz stammt aus dem Wappen des Memminger Oberhospitals (Kreuzherrenkonvent) und erinnert daran, das dieses vom 14. Jahrhundert bis 1803 eine Niederlassung in Breitenbrunn unterhielt. |
