Deutsch: An die Stelle eines in Fleckensiegeln seit 1717 belegten überladenen Wappens, dessen gespaltener, hinten halbgeteilter Schild eine Kirche sowie die drei württembergischen Hirschstangen, ein Partiarchen-Hochkreuz und einen Krummstab zeigt, traten gegen Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts die jetzigen Wappenfiguren. Das Patriarchen-Hochkreuz war das Zeichen des Ordens vom Heiligen Grab, dem das regulierte Chorherrenstift Denkendorf bis zur Reformation angehörte. Die beiden Großbuchstaben D beziehen sich auf den Ortsnamen. Da die Farben erst 1964 festgelegt worden waren, bedurfte das Wappen - wie auch die Flagge - der Verleihung, die am 21. Juni 1965 erfolgte. |
