Object history
Deutsch: Das Drei-Linden-Motiv lässt sich seit 1694 in Siegeln nachweisen. Während aus früherer Zeit keine Deutung bekannt ist, wird es jetzt mit den drei Linden auf dem Geigersbühl in Verbindung gebracht, den Mörike in seinem „Maler Nohen" in eine romantische Sage einbezogen hat. Bei Verzicht auf den in Gemeindesiegeln zeitweilig dargestellten oben offenen Laubkranz wurden 1951 die Wappenfarben festgelegt. Die Verleihung des Wappens erfolgte am 18. Februar 1952 durch die Landesregierung, während die Flaggenfarben am 17. Januar 1968 vom Innenministerium verliehen.
